Want a better sex life? It could be as easy
as changing what you eat. If I promised you that eating chili peppers
would give you a boost in the bedroom, would you eat them?
“I guess I would - not that I need any help or anything!”
Leon Camirillo told WOAI.
Of course you don’t! But a lot of people do. In fact, last year
Americans shelled out over 1.4 billion dollars to treat male sexual disorders.
“Probably because it's so important and second of all we're all
told we need to do better,” says Lenora Perry
Well here's a concept: Better Health = Better Sex.
Want to add a little spice to your bedroom life? Some experts say it's
as easy a trip to your local grocery store. Take a look at our list: there's
alcohol, chocolate, chili peppers, fruits and veggies, whole grains, ginger,
honey, nuts, oysters, and soy. Okay, so you can probably figure out how
a little bubbly can boost your love life, but soy? Salad? How does that
help?
“They've done a study and they've found these green leafy's will
actually help with circulation,” explains Mary Martini from Central
Market.
Mary she says a big salad will get your blood pumping. If women add some
soy to that salad, experts say it can up estrogen levels.
“Whole grains are good for the guys,” says Mary. “It
increases testosterone.”
Don't forget about chocolate!
“Chocolate provides euphoria when you eat it,” Mary.
Honey's on the list, too. Mary explains, “The honey? It actually
converts to sugar, which converts to energy.”
Want to heat things up? Try chili peppers. They're called hot peppers
for a reason, aren't they?
So how do you use all this food to your advantage? The chocolate and
the champagne - that's easy! But serving your date some chili peppers?
Not so easy!
Leave it to Mary - she created an entire meal using everything on our
list. “I have a salad recipe that incorporates great fruits and
vegetables,” says Mary. “Those grapes have a cream cheese
mixture with some candied ginger. That gives it some spice.” To
top it off - a chocolate chili brownie smothered with soy ice cream.
So how do you know if any of this even works? If you see my husband tomorrow,
ask him!
