Can I edit my profile?

Yes. You can change and add to your profile as often as you like. Any changes you make will be effective immediately on the site. Please be aware however, that caching may affect you seeing changes for up to 20 minutes, so you may like to go to Internet Options in your browser and delete your temporary Internet files to see any changes immediately, and then log on again.

Can I change my username?

No. Usernames cannot be changed. If you require a new username then you must request for your profile to be deleted, and create a new profile.

Can I add my contact details in my profile

No. All contact details will be removed as profiles are checked by hand. Please do not try to disguise your contact details - this is only a waste of your time!

Can I add links to my profile?

You may only add links to your profile if you have checked the `advertising paid services` box and are a premium member. You may not under any circumstances include links in your profile if you have stated you are `here for fun`. This only applies to adult sites.

How do I write a good headline?

The best headlines are original. Bear in mind that cliché headlines may seem really cool - but you won`t be the first to have thought of it! If you have a sense of humour, use it! Be short, snappy, original and honest. Don`t use your headline to boast. The best sort of headline to attract the sort of people you want, if a headline that would get YOU interested.

How do I write a good description?

The best descriptions are full of information and unique details about you and your preferences. Avoid writing lists - as much as you may be interested in swimming, horse-riding, reading, cooking, drinking, partying, going in, staying out - it`s not very inventive or enticing. Be creative, take your time. Rather than saying you have a GSOH, use it - write something witty. If you are interested in writing songs or poetry - include a verse for the fun of it. Don`t be too formal, write as though you are talking to the person. Don`t be over confident saying "I don`t know why I`m doing this, I could meet anyone in the pub" - it`s not exactly attractive. On the flip side - there`s no need to be overly shy - "I`m not particularly interesting - an average sort of girl really" won`t have them hammering your door down. Most importantly, be honest. Lying is rude and will not achieve anything. If you are hear to meet people, never never never write "more details coming soon." Not only will you find that NOBODY will be interested in getting in touch with you, you will find your profile whipped off the site until you can do a better job. You don`t want to search through profiles with nothing in them, so we won`t let them through. Simple as that.

Can I advertise my profile outside of the site?

Yes, there is a `send to a friend` option on every profile. Click on this link to email your profile to yourself or other members. This will appear in your email as a link, which you can place elsewhere on the web to link directly to your profile.

I entered the wrong gender / my gender has changed - how do I edit this?

If this is the case, don`t worry. Just drop us a mail via our contact form here and we`ll change your gender or member type for you. This can only be done for changing male to female or female to male. No other changes can be made.

Do Premium Members get more profile options?

Yes. As a premium member you can hide your profile. This means that you can log in to the site, search and chat as normal, but you will not be seen in the search results pages by other members. This gives you the freedom to search without being seen if you wish. You will however be visible in chat, and if a member clicks to view your profile it can be viewed in this area alone

How do I hide my profile?

To hide your profile, click on the hide my profile link within the profile tab. This option is only available to premium members, offering more privacy, allowing you to search discreetly without being seen in the search results.

What are the guidelines for an acceptable profile?

Firstly, ensure that you have completed your profile to the best of your ability with plenty of interesting, honest and relevant information. Your profile will be rejected if you submit a one-liner - nobody likes to read them so yours will not be passed. Your profile may be failed or edited if it contains any contact information - this is NOT permitted in profiles. You may freely exchange contact information within chat or on-site mail. Please also refer to our terms and conditions if you are unsure about acceptable language or references in this section. We advise you to use your common sense when writing your profile.

Why was my profile failed?

If your profile was failed it was either too short - please go back and enter more information or contained contact information. It may have contained unsuitable content or language or reference to illegal activity Please read our terms and conditions as to acceptable content in profiles.
