Following these tips will greatly increase the life of your vibrator.
Never dunk your vibrator in water, unless
it is specifically sold as a waterproof vibrator. If it is a battery operated
vibrator there is little risk of electric shock since the amount of voltage
is so small, however with a A/C powered vibrator this is a different matter
all together. If you do happen to soak your vibrator, open it up, take
out the batteries and blow-dry the interior until completely dry. Wipe
off the batteries thoroughly. For an extra measure of confidence that
the vibrator won't face any long term damage, leave the vibrator opened
up with the batteries out over night.
Clean your vibrator with a professional sex toy cleaner, or use rubbing
alcohol and a clean cloth. See above about washing it off.
If your vibrator has a power cord don't pull or bend the cord very much.
No matter how well built the toy is, eventually you will break off the
cord. The connections of the cord to electrical contacts in the vibrator
will be the weakest link. If you do break the cord, many a vibrator has
been brought back to life with a little soldering.
One of the worst things that can happen to your favorite vibrating sex
toy is for it to experience a battery leak. The acid from the batteries
can cause damage that won't be easily repaired. With today's modern batteries
there is very little risk of leakage. But it is still a good idea not
to store a vibrator long term with batteries in it.
For the most part, any sex toy sold including batteries will most likely
come with sub standard batteries that won't last very long, and do run
the risk of leakage. We suggest you toss out these cheap batteries and
install some good name brand ones. Energizers are our favorite. We want
all the buzz that the device was designed to give!
Modern vibrating sex toys can be high-tech pieces of solid state circuitry.
Avoid dropping them on hard surfaces. A bad jolt can damage the delicate
parts inside.
Vibrators with electric cords are designed to be run on the voltage common
to the United States. If you are traveling to a foreign country, remember
to pack a voltage converter.
